It's all about YMCA Camp Seymour
CHALLENGE
Camp Seymour, a YMCA program located near Gig Harbor, Washington, has been hosting children and adults for more than 100 years at its summer resident camps, outdoor education programs, and group retreats. When the Camp directors came to Totera to redesign their website and revamp their online registration system, they never dreamed it would help them to increase their program signups by 80 percent. Delighted with their new content management system, registration forms, and e-newsletter marketing, they were ready to move forward to further expand their website and to streamline their ability to collect data to help them better meet their participants’ needs.
SOLUTION
Totera used new database software to merge Camp Seymour’s registration data with the information collected from e-mail newsletter subscriptions. The result is a database that allows individuals to be entered into a number of different categories to ensure that they receive notifications of the events, classes, and camps that they’re interested in.
RESULTS
With the new systems in place, the Camp Seymour staff can quickly and easily access the data they need for reports, fundraising statistics, and grant applications. This not only saves valuable staff time but also improves the accuracy of the information they receive. And the redesigned website, with improved navigation tabs and a more user-friendly format, greatly improves the customer experience and makes it easy to find the program which best fits each participant.
